Established in 1963 from the diligence and avant-garde insight of Mr. Luigi Maggi, who introduced a completely innovative multi-slide machine’s concept and the first 6 axes CNC wire bending and forming machine on the market, OMCG “Officine Meccaniche Costruzioni Generali” has grown to become a core brand in the manufacturing of machines for this industry.
Operating in over 45 countries, OMCG is one of the few worldwide companies able to supply a whole range of solutions for the bending and forming of wire, tube and strip by means of CNC benders and special machines designed to meet specific needs and respond to a constantly evolving market.
VARO S.r.l. è nata nel lontano 1979. L’azienda è stata fondata dall’attuale amministratore unico sig. Giuseppe Rota che iniziò l’attività con un socio. In quel tempo l’attività volgeva per la maggiore alla realizzazione di attrezzature e accessori per la lavorazione del filo metallico. I nostri maggiori clienti erano infatti quelle aziende che producevano articoli in filo metallico.
Negli anni successivi, VARO ha sviluppato e realizzato piccole macchine semplici e accessorie nella lavorazione del filo. La crescente esperienza ha permesso di raggiungere in oltre quarant’anni di attività un altissimo livello di know how che consente oggi di competere con le più importanti aziende costruttrici di macchine per la saldatura e piega del filo metallico.
Oggi VARO conta 115 lavoratori, un’area di 15.000 metri quadrati, 13 reparti ed una conoscenza unica nell’ambito dell’automazione nella lavorazione del filo metallico.
L’azienda ha raggiunto negli ultimi anni un livello tecnologico che le permette di competere a livello mondiale con una produzione di macchine automatiche affidabili e di alta qualità, specialmente utilizzate da produttori di materiali nel campo dell’armatura del cemento, gabbie avicole e per allevamenti, accessori per cucine e per elettrodomestici, accessori e complementi di arredamento, reti metalliche per recinzioni e protezioni antinfortunistiche.
VARO’s evolution over more than four decades of activity resulted in the creation of ROTA Group during 2022, a company headed by VARO srl and the newly acquired OMCG Italia srl, a company specializing in the design and manufacture of CNC bending machines for wire, tube and metal strip parts.
VARO and OMCG keep their corporate identities and characteristics unchanged, but share know-how and technologies to improve each other and provide the market with increasingly high-performance automated wire processing solutions.

The Rota family, leveraging VARO’s strong market position as a leading company in the production of machinery for metal wire processing, decides to establish ROTA Group and proceed with the acquisition of OMCG Italia.
